I'm starting to like the looks of the Corvette Daytona Prototypes.
A bit of a conflict of interest, since it was Le Mans Prototypes that drew me into becoming a fan of motorsports.

Meh... I think they could look better. And is the power plant even an LS? Kind of weird they attached the Corvette name to it.
Although... Make a road version with the C7's 6.2L and ditch the big wing and I might be inclined to dig it.

They could look better by not existing anymore. They've got LS9s.

On second thought, they don't look bad in conventional paint jobs. Maybe the current batch of racing liveries aren't that flattering. I like the VisitFlorida blue though.

With regard to LS9, they're not really production engines though if they're 5.5L. There's never been a 5.5 LS9.

That's why I posted the #90. The rest of them are still fairly unflattering. I think WTR is the coolest of the DP teams though. But that might just be because of Jordan Taylor.

C.7R has a 5.5L as well. As did the ZR1 based C.6R.

Well then... I'll allow it. Race cars almost never have true production engines anyways these days. Too many rules.

Yeah, though many of them at least resemble production engines. Such as the SkyActiv diesel Mazda Prototypes. I applaud any manufacturer that makes an effort.

The SkyActiv Mazda Lolas are for the most part using production based parts. I wish they'd start using parts more suited for racing so they can increase the power and actually post some decent lap times. Oh that and maybe work out the cooling already.

All they do is make little kids cry and cause wrecks while under caution. Snap out of it.
